Your privacy

PingDock helps you receive updates from the services you choose to connect with.

Information used to provide PingDock

PingDock creates an account identifier to save your connections. You do not need to enter an email address or password to start. The service stores connection references supplied by businesses, notification preferences, messages and their links, and whether you read or remove an inbox item.

If you save a passkey, we store its public credential and the information needed to verify it. Your device or passkey provider handles the private key. PingDock does not receive your Face ID or fingerprint data.

If you enable notifications, the service stores a push delivery token. Session information, including IP address and software information, and request and delivery records help authenticate access, prevent abuse and operate the service.

App Clip and installation

The App Clip retrieves your invitation and saves it on your device so the full app can continue. Choosing an installation route does not itself add a business.

Service providers and businesses

Cloudflare hosts the API and stored service data. Expo and Apple process push delivery, including notification titles and bodies. Expo also provides app updates. Notifications may appear on your lock screen according to your device settings.

Businesses supply the messages and links for their connections. Opening a link takes you to that business’s service and its own privacy practices. Removing PingDock does not cancel a booking or delete records held independently by a business.

Your choices

You can manage connections and notification preferences in the app, and disable notifications in iOS Settings. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your server account. A passkey stored by your password manager may need to be removed there separately.

Deleting your account

Delete account in Settings removes your PingDock account, sessions, saved recovery credentials, push registrations, inbox and access records. Sender-owned connection and notification records remain, including records needed by other clients. Deletion does not cancel a booking or delete a sender’s own records. Your password manager may still show a saved passkey, but its deleted server credential can no longer authenticate.

How long information is kept

Your connections and account information are kept while your account exists. Removing a notification hides it from your inbox; it does not immediately erase the underlying message or delivery records. There is currently no automatic 90-day deletion rule. Account deletion removes the account information described above; sender-owned records may remain.

Your privacy rights

You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to object to or restrict its use. These rights depend on the circumstances. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
