Set up PingDock on Mac

Set up PingDock with Chrome or Edge so business updates arrive on your Mac.

Before you start

You need a PingDock invitation link from the business you want to hear from. Open it on the Mac where you want to receive updates.

1. Open your invitation

Open the invitation in Chrome or Edge. Check the business name and the types of updates it wants to send, then select Continue.

2. Add the business

Review the connection and select Add business.

3. Turn on notifications

Select Turn on notifications, then allow notifications when your browser asks. If macOS asks too, choose Allow.

4. Install PingDock (recommended)

Use the install icon in the address bar when it appears. In Chrome, you can also open the menu and choose Install PingDock. In Edge, open Apps and choose Install this site as an app.

5. Save your connections

Create a passkey so you can restore your connections after clearing browser data or moving to another device. You can also do this later from the Device screen.

You’re ready

When you see Notifications are on, select Done. Updates will appear in PingDock and as macOS notifications.

If something doesn’t work

• Invitation expired: ask the business for a fresh link.
• Browser unsupported: reopen the invitation in Chrome or Edge.
• Notifications are missing: open System Settings → Notifications, choose Chrome, Edge or PingDock and allow notifications.
